Mert Öcal, 29 Eylül 1982 tarihinde İstanbul’da dünyaya gelmiştir. Mankenlik ve oyunculuk yapmaktadır. 2004 senesinde ‘Best Model of Turkey’ olarak seçilmiş ve aynı yıl ‘Best Model of The World’ yarışmasını da kazanmayı başarmıştır.  

Yurt dışında ve yurt içinde de pek çok katalog ve defilede de yer alan manken, oyunculuk kariyerinde Görgüsüzler, Asla Unutma, Oyun Bitti, Doktorlar, Arka Sokaklar, Nehir, Aşk Yeniden ve Rüyalarda Buluşuruz gibi pek çok projede de yer almıştır.  

Mert Öcal, şimdilerde ise Tv 8’de yayınlanan Survivor adlı yarışmada Ünlüler takımında mücadele etmektedir. 1.93 metre uzunlukta olan yakışıklı oyuncu, 90 kilogram ağırlıktadır.
